Thursday, May 18, 2023, FourStar Wealth Advisor Clients and Staff met for lunch and a private tour of the Tilton Mansion in Wilmington, Delaware. This mansion is the current home of the University and Whist Club and was built by Dr. James Tilton, a Revolutionary War Hero, who had crossed the Delaware with George Washington. It was here at the mansion that Dr. Tilton entertained lavishly; serving plenty of rum but never coffee or tea which he considered to be the unhealthiest of drinks.
After a wonderful lunch, a tour of the mansion was provided to those who wished to join. It was very exciting that one of our guests, who is an art curator, noticed a masterpiece at the top of the staircase of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. She was able to provide us with background on the artist and explain to all of us the importance of this masterpiece.
This fun and informative event provided an opportunity to reconnect and enjoy the opportunities that are in each of our distinct geographic areas.
